Costa Rica Boutique Hotel Adventure Tours

Adventure Tours available close to Hotel in Heredia location

Adventure and Eco-Tours are Costa Rica's specialty where you can participate in adventure activities such as Ziplining, Whitewater Rafting, Canyoneering or Waterfall Rappelling, Jungle Treks, or less strenuous fun such as ATV Tours, Canopy Tours, Horseback Riding and more. Costa Rica is also known worldwide for its Deep Sea Sport Fishing.

Costa Rica is the location where the film Jurassic Park was filmed and its rugged diversity is an adventure seeker's paradise - you can learn to surf or do some really unique activities such as Rail Biking, either way you will be in the right place to have experiences that you will never forget!

La Catalina Hotel's Adventure Tours

Available adventure activities range from the mild to the wild as set out below.

The Tarzan swing

Using a bungee cord, you swing between the trees with a vertical drop that will get your heart racing. You need to hold on tight, as the horizontal acceleration of swinging deep down into the jungle floor is fast and furious, not for the faint of heart!

River Gorge Bungee Jump

You saw it in the movie “Fast and Furious” and can experience it yourself - jump off a bridge spanning a gorge towards the rushing waters below. The River Gorge Jump over the Colorado River Bridge is one not to be missed for the ultimate thrill seeker.

ATV Challenge Tours

Costa Rica is a country of hills, mountains, valleys, plantations, and of course beaches some of which are accessible by ATV. Geared to different levels of riding skill, you can choose an ATV challenge ranging from sit on the seat and watch the world go by or hang onto your handlebars for the ride of your life.

White Water Rapids Rafting

The rafting experiences on Costa Rica’s wild rivers can give you the experience of a lifetime. Rated as being among the best white water rafting spots in the world, Costa Rica is a paddler’s delight.

Zip Lining Extraordinary

Not an everyday Zipline - 3/4 of a mile and longer, through the trees, over gorges, crossing waterfalls and accelerating down the mountain side. This is Costa Rican adventure at its best. (For the more timid, it’s called a Canopy Tour :) ).

Canopy Adventure, Heredia

Spectacular views you will always remember!! This canopy tour is about 10 minutes from the Hotel with a mixture of ecology and adventure tourism.

Canopy San Lorenzo

Located 80 kilometers (50 miles) away from the hotel on the road from San Ramon to La Fortuna just before the Bajo de los Rodriguez. The sliding cable is divided in two parts - a Forest Section, which starts with small cables to acquire confidence while admiring the forest’s canopy and the Adventure Dection, with much longer cables suspended from high platforms requiring large doses of adrenaline. Total length of all the cables is 2500 meters or over 8,000 feet long! There are 19 platforms and the San Lorenzo Canopy includes a 750 meter (or 2460 feet) cable, one of the longest in the country.

Turu Ba Ri Nature and Adventure Park

The perfect eco-destination in Costa Rica with nature guided tours or horseback to the canopy tour "The Superman Zipline" or "Tarzan Swing" for the more daring.

Extreme Mountain Biking

Trails in Costa Rica can be challenging and you have a wide range of trail options - equipment is top notch and if you can take it, so can your bike.

Tournament Quality Surf

This is the location of the Reef and BillaBong World Championships so there is no question that you have world class rips and curls so what you do with them depends on how tightly your ten can grip the the board.

Horseback Riding

Tell us what your greatest passion with a horse is - Bareback on a beach? Driving cattle? Roping? Riding to the top of an active volcano (you can see the steam coming from the vents near you!)? Seeing the rainforest from the back of a horse, as the Conquerors saw it in 1492? Seeing the ocean from a mountaintop, and arriving at the ocean before the end of the day? It's all available for the asking!
